Step 1: Access the Template Editor
Log into your BuildPass account.
Navigate to the "Forms" section.
Step 2: Open the Template Editor
Within the Forms section, click on "Templates."
Step 3: Create a New Template
Click the "Create a New Template" button to start building a new form template.
Step 4: Name Your Template
Click the pencil icon at the top of the page to give your template a name.
Step 5: Understand Block Types
BuildPass templates use two types of blocks:
Input Blocks: Prompt users for responses (e.g., multiple-choice, text fields).
Display Box Blocks: Present information without requiring user input.
Step 6: Add Input Blocks
Select an input block to add a question.
Choose "Single Select" to create a multiple-choice question.
Enter your question and add response options.
Step 7: Set Desired Responses
Define the expected responses for reporting purposes.
Mark specific answers as desired or leave them as undecided.
Step 8: Save Your Input Block
After configuring the question, click "Save."
Step 9: Preview Your Template
Use the Preview option to see how the template appears to users.
Step 10: Enable Multiple Options (Optional)
If users need to select multiple responses, change the block type to "Multi-Select."
Step 11: Choose Different Block Types
Change the input type to text response if a written answer is needed.
Step 12: Adjust Block Settings
Click on a block to modify settings:
Make questions required
Allow attachments
Add notes or actions
Step 13: Organize Your Template
Use sections and groups to keep your template structured.
Add headings to organize related blocks.
Step 14: Finalize Your Template
Review all questions and settings.
Ensure the template is formatted correctly.
Step 15: Review and Test
Test the template before using it to confirm functionality.
Step 16: Save and Use
Once satisfied, click "Save."
Your template is now ready for use in BuildPass Forms.
