Who are Staff Users?

Staff users are workers who have been inducted or signed onto a BuildPass site. They are employed by the builder and can be found in the Staff section of the Directory.

For example, if a builder is managing a project at 11 Newton Street, a staff member like Matt Perrot (employed by PEZ Core, the builder) would be listed under Staff.

Who are Admin Users?

Admin users have access to the BuildPass admin experience, which provides additional management tools and platform controls.

To view Admin Users in BuildPass:

  • Navigate to Settings

  • Select Admin Users

Admin users are different from workers using the BuildPass Worker App for orientations, sign-offs, and certification matching. They are exclusively listed under the BuildPass Users section, while workers are not.

How to Grant Admin Access to a Staff Member

If a staff member needs admin access, follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the Admin Users section within settings.

  • Check if the staff member is already listed as an admin.

  • If they are not, invite them as an admin user by clicking the blue "Invite" button.

Why is This Important?

Understanding the distinction between staff and admin users helps ensure proper access and permissions are granted. Staff users manage their on-site tasks, while admin users oversee projects, compliance, and safety management.
