How to set up the BuildPass × Adaptive integration
The BuildPass × Adaptive integration allows you to import your jobs and vendors from Adaptive directly into BuildPass, keeping your site and accounting data aligned without double entry.
In BuildPass, go to Settings → Integrations
Click Connect under Adaptive
You’ll be redirected to Adaptive’s secure login page to authorise your account
Once connected, return to BuildPass and select Configure to manage your sync settings
Tip: You’ll need an active Adaptive account with integration permissions.
The connection requires these scopes: read:customers, read:vendors, and read:realms.
Integration features
Once connected, you can:
Import Adaptive jobs (customers) as new BuildPass projects
Import Adaptive vendors as new BuildPass companies
Link existing records between BuildPass and Adaptive
Bulk sync multiple records at once
Use smart matching to prevent duplicate records
View logs to track all sync activity
Smart Matching: BuildPass automatically looks for similar existing names or ABNs to suggest potential matches and avoid duplicates.
Example: Jobs
The Jobs tab shows all Adaptive customers with options to import or connect them to BuildPass projects.
You’ll also see:
A status indicator showing if each job is connected
Import to create a new BuildPass project
Connect to link to an existing one
Bulk Sync to import multiple jobs at once
Example: Vendors
The Vendors tab lists all Adaptive vendors with similar options:
Import or connect to BuildPass companies
Use smart matching to identify potential duplicates
Perform bulk operations to sync multiple vendors simultaneously
Logs
You can access integration logs under Settings → Integrations → Configure → Logs.
These show all sync activity, including:
Action type (Import, Connect, Disconnect)
Status (Success or Failed)
Timestamp
User who performed the action
Security
The integration uses OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication.
Tokens are stored securely in AWS Secrets Manager
Automatically refreshed when needed
All integration activity is logged for auditing
Removing the integration
You can remove the connection at any time under Settings → Integrations.
This will disconnect Adaptive from BuildPass but will not delete any data in either system.
Important: Removing the integration only breaks the link between records.
Your data will remain safe in both BuildPass and Adaptive.
