Step 1: Navigate to the Scheduling module
Navigate to your project and select the Scheduling module from the menu on the left-hand side of the page.
Step 2: Name your schedule
If this is your first schedule or you're creating a new one, you'll need to give it a name.
Step 3: Choose how to create your schedule
Once you've named your schedule, you'll be presented with two options:
Start from scratch: Build a new schedule with written inputs using AI
Import a schedule: Upload an existing schedule from another source
Option 1: Starting from scratch
If you choose to start from scratch:
Enter a description of your building (e.g., "Two-story residential")
Set the start and end dates for your project
Click "Generate" to have BuildPass create your schedule template
Option 2: Importing a schedule
If you have an existing schedule in PDF format or even a photo of a whiteboard schedule:
Select the "Import a schedule" option
Upload your file (PDF, image, etc.)
Set the start and end dates for your project
Click "Import" to proceed
Step 4: Review suggested phases
BuildPass will suggest phases for your project aligned with major construction milestones (structural work, surfaces, finishing, etc.).
Review these suggestions and make any necessary adjustments before proceeding.
Step 5: Finalize your schedule
Once you've confirmed the phases and tasks, BuildPass will generate your complete schedule. From here, you can:
Refine task durations
Add or remove tasks
Assign tasks to team members or subcontractors
Set task statuses
Manage dependencies
