As a subcontractor using BuildPass, you may receive invitations from builders to upload JSA files for specific projects. The JSA Builder module simplifies the process, allowing you to quickly create and manage JSA files directly within the platform.

Here's how you can use the JSA Builder:

  1. Receive an Invitation
When you receive an email invitation from a builder, click the "Upload Files" button. You'll be shown an option to submit your JSA with the JSA Builder.

  2. Choose a Template or Create from Scratch
    You can choose to:

    • Create a JSA from scratch.

    • Use one of BuildPass's templates.

    • Select a template provided by the builder.
If you don’t have a personal template yet, you can start with a BuildPass template.

  3. Fill in the Necessary Details
For example, if you're working on a general painting job, select the corresponding BuildPass template and enter the required details, such as your contact information. These details may be pre-filled if provided by the builder.

  4. Complete the JSA
    Include details such as:

    • High-risk work

    • Plant and machinery involved (e.g., forklifts, power tools, ladders)

    • Work activities

    • Hazards and controls

    • Responsible persons

  5. Select PPE and Submit
After finalizing your JSA, select the appropriate PPE and submit it.

  6. Save as a Template
Ensure you save the JSA as a template for future use, which is helpful for similar projects.

  7. Builder Review and Feedback

    • Once submitted, the builder will be notified and will review the JSA for compliance.

    • If any issues are found, they may request changes.

    • If changes are requested, you’ll receive an email with a link to view the builder's feedback.

  8. Make Adjustments and Resubmit

    • Use the JSA Builder to update your submission.

    • You can start from scratch, use the BuildPass template, or modify your saved template.

    • After making the necessary adjustments, resubmit the JSA, and the builder will review the updated file.

Using the JSA Builder ensures that your documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with project requirements, making the process smooth and efficient.
