When assigning Actions or Defects, it's important to understand how Assignees work within BuildPass. If you're not seeing these items in the Worker App, it's likely due to how they have been assigned.
Both Actions and Defects can be assigned to:
A company
A BuildPass admin
A worker
If an Action or Defect is assigned to a company, the company will receive an email notification. However, individual workers within that company won’t see the item in the Worker App unless it’s also assigned directly to their specific worker profile.
If an Action or Defect is assigned to an admin profile, the user will receive an email notification but it won’t appear in their Worker App unless it is also assigned to their worker profile.
To ensure Actions and Defects appear in the Worker App:
Open the item in the Defects & Actions module.
Select Edit Assignee.
Search for and select the worker profile linked to the individual using the Worker App (this profile may have the same name as their admin profile, but it is separate).
Save the update.
Once this is done, the worker will receive a text notification (if a phone number is connected to the profile) and the item will appear in their Worker App.
