Understanding and Using the Site Log
Your Site Log is a daily record of activities, events, and observations on your construction site. It serves as a crucial tool for tracking progress, resolving disputes, and maintaining accurate historical records.
Only users with BuildPass Admin access—including Owners, Managers, or Project Managers—can view and update Site Logs.
Step 1: Select the Correct Project
Before creating a Site Log, ensure you’re working within the correct project. Click the dropdown arrow in the upper-left corner to select from the project list.
Step 2: Open the Site Log Module
Navigate to Project Management and select Site Log to access your log entries.
Step 3: Create a Log for Today
There are two ways to create a Site Log entry for today:
Option 1: Within the Site Log module, click "Create Today's" on the left side of the page.
Option 2: Click the "New" button at the top of the page, then select "Create Site Log" from the dropdown menu. This can be done from anywhere in BuildPass.
Step 4: Create a Log for a Different Date
To create an entry for another day:
Click the "More" option (three dots).
Select "Create a Site Log for Any Date" and enter the desired date.
Step 5: Fill in Log Details
Once you’ve selected the date, start adding details, such as:
✅ Weather conditions (including any delays due to inclement weather).
✅ Attendance records, including the option to manually add workers.
✅ General work descriptions summarizing daily activities.
✅ Photos documenting site progress.
Step 6: Upload Photos and Documents
Uploading images and documents helps create a thorough project record.
Click the "Upload" button and select the files you want to attach.
Click "Save" to finalize the upload.
Step 7: Access and Manage Past Logs
